Avid supporters of local art and literature; Deadly Ponies proudly continue their relationship with celebrated New Zealand ceramicist Bronwynne Cornish. As firm believers in the elevation of creation, our 2022 seasonal packaging is an adaptation of the works from Browynne Cornish, inspired by The Owl Jug and The Chimney Cat found in Deadly Ponies’ flagship Ponsonby store in Auckland.

Bronwynne has worked with clay since her early twenties. Her work has always been figurative, often depicting a combination of people and animals. She has created a number of large scale room sized installations, including four elemental Goddess figures, Earth, Water, Air, Fire, in the 1980s. Also a maker of charms, Amulets, and guardians, she says, “Clay is my muse.”
