Our Goals

While we take pride in our actions as a responsible brand, this is just the beginning for our sustainable progress. Utilising the UN Sustainable Development Goals as a framework for our future ambitions, we have identified key SDG's where we can make lasting social and environmental change in the fashion industry from our small corner of the world. We focus on the 3 P’s of People, Planet and Prosperity across our responsible business goals.

PEOPLE
Our goal is to ensure fair and ethical working conditions, fair pay, and equal rights across our business, including our atelier, stores and HQ by working towards Living Wage Certification by April 2021.
In line with Goal 8 of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, we aim for 100% of our suppliers to sign our Code of Conduct by 2021 - ensuring the protection of workers and providing a safe and healthy working environment.
As part of our effort to support Goal 10 - Reduced Inequalities, we intend to roll-out a diversity, inclusion and equality policy across our business operations to champion the elimination of inequalities within the fashion industry, by December 2020.

PLANET
To be truly circular, and minimise our environmental impact, we intend to be zero-waste certified by 2022 - this means not only our production waste but also working with high quality, ethical materials that we can rework, repurpose or recycle without leaving a lasting impact on the environment.
With Goal 12 - Responsible Consumption and Production, in consideration, we will work towards using only 100% renewable energy at our atelier by 2022 - harnessing solar energy and power created through the implementation of our biofuel reactor.
Goal 13 - Climate action, is an ever-expanding issue and one that we want to do our part to tackle. We are currently working towards B Corp certification, and aim to achieve this by 2021.

PROSPERITY
We aim to donate a portion of our profits to our chosen charity partners in 2020, to provide further enrichment to our communities in both New Zealand and Thailand, and support the prosperity for future generations.
To ensure the prosperity of our local community, in line with Goal 10, we aim to continue to support our New Zealand charity partners and community organisations, with our focus for 2020 supporting Dress for Success NZ and partnering with RainbowYOUTH NZ.
Our local community also extends to our Thailand family. Through Goal 3 - Good Health & Well-being, and Goal 4 - Quality Education, we have chosen to donate a percentage of profits from 2020 to our Mr Atelier charity partner, Baan Dek Foundation, along with granting an additional days’ annual leave per annum for our artisans to work in the community to support the programme.
