Retail

With a growing number of boutique locations across New Zealand and Australia, our in-store team has a strong focus on customer service, providing considerable knowledge on our pieces and sustainability; creating a premium experience on every visit.

MARKETING & DIGITAL

Responsible for all Marketing elements across brand, digital, CRM and creative; we are always on the pulse and pushing boundaries. Our outlook is design-led, with a strong focus on curating and cultivating the Deadly Ponies brand. 

DESIGN

Led by our Creative Director, Liam Bowden, our inhouse design team is the spark that drives Deadly Ponies. From an initial sketch to the finished product, our team are the curators of our unique and innovative collection, producing through a considered lens.

SUPPLY CHAIN

The stitching that holds us together, our Supply Chain team are responsible for all operations and logistics globally, including our Australian and New Zealand stock rooms, and delivering each piece from our hands into yours, leaving as little carbon footprint behind as possible.

SALES & WHOLESALE

Our Sales & Wholesale team know their way around a spreadsheet or two and have an eye for soon-to-be coveted pieces; overseeing demand planning, buying and managing relationships with our stockists globally, and our weekly sales insights.

Retail Operations Assistant - HQ, Auckland

FULL TIME - 40 HOURS

As the Retail Operations assistant you’ll play a vital role in contributing to the efficiency of our operations team and retail network.


We require a team player who is reliable, quick, and detail-oriented with the ability to manage
multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. This role involves the fulfillment and distribution of
online orders, supporting the retail network and Aftersales program, warehouse functionality and
distribution/storage of goods within Deadly Ponies. You will work closely with our Retail Operations Manager to ensure the smooth running of our retail network.


This role will report directly to our Operations Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Online Dispatch
● Ensure accurate processing and dispatching of products purchased online, including;
accurate picking of the products, packing of the products to the highest standard, and
liaising with courier companies for distribution of packed products.
● Ensure that online orders are processed for the correct customer in an efficient and
effective manner according to prescribed processes and defined Standard Operating
Procedures.
● Ensure all online orders are processed and completed within the set KPIs.

After-sales
● Coordinate all after-sales tasks including our repairs programme, with our retail team,
external repairer, and customers, ensuring outcomes are of the highest standard.

● Manage Aftersales communication through all internal systems in a professional and
timely manner.
● Report monthly on Aftersales results to Production.

Warehouse
● Assist the operations team with seasonal indent pick and pack and dispatch overflow
including online and distribution to our retail store network.
● General warehouse tasks including stock management through routine cycle counts and
annual stocktakes, general tidiness of warehouse space, and maintaining the efficient
flow of inwards and outwards goods.

Retail Administration and Operations support
● Support the Retail Operations Manager to ensure timesheets are approved and
submitted on time and in an efficient manner along with any leave and reimbursements
requests.
● Support the Brand and Retail team by ensuring smooth rollouts of Retail and Customer
events.
● Organise the allocation and distribution of uniforms to new starters and the re-ordering of
uniforms as required.
● Manage the ordering and distribution of retail packaging.

YOU WILL BRING TO THIS ROLE

▪ Prioritise workload to ensure work of the greatest importance to the business is undertaken
with urgency and to a high standard.
▪ Support and help develop a positive workplace culture.

Retail Store Manager - Queenstown, Otago

We are looking for an experienced Retail Store Manager to join our close-knit, fun, and high performing team. Representing the Deadly Ponies brand to our Queenstown and online customers; you will be tasked with managing the daily operations of the store, providing a premium experience for our customers whilst meeting sales targets. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The role of the Retail Store Manager is to manage the daily operations of the Deadly Ponies retail store and provide premium experiences for our customers.
  • Meet sales targets whilst aligning rostering to wage budget.
  • Manage your store team to provide outstanding clienteling, in-store brand experiences and seamless online support through Live Chat.
  • Ensure stock and all daily/weekly processes are managed efficiently and accurately.
  • Own the store aesthetic and visual merchandising. 
YOU WILL BRING TO THIS ROLE
  • 2-3 years in a premium/luxury retail environment with 2+ years in a retail management position.
  • Proven sales, clienteling and customer service skills.
  • Proven ability to manage a busy online fulfilment operation.
  • Professionalism and personality.

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Retail Store Manager with a customer first mindset to join our close-knit, fun, and high performing team. Representing the Deadly Ponies brand to our Queenstown customers, you will be tasked with managing the daily operations of the store, providing a premium experience for our customers whilst meeting sales targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The role of the Assistant Store Manager is to support the daily operations of the Deadly Ponies retail store and provide premium experiences for our customers.
  • Meet sales targets whilst aligning rostering to wage budget.
  • Manage your store team to provide outstanding clientelling, in-store brand experiences and seamless online support through Live Chat.
  • Ensure stock and all daily/weekly processes are managed efficiently and accurately.
  • Own the store aesthetic and visual merchandising.
YOU WILL BRING TO THIS ROLE
  • 2 years in a premium/luxury retail environment with 1+ years in an Assistant Retail Management position or as a Senior Sales Assistant
  • Proven sales, clientelling and customer service skills
  • Professionalism and personality.
