Retail
With a growing number of boutique locations across New Zealand and Australia, our in-store team has a strong focus on customer service, providing considerable knowledge on our pieces and sustainability; creating a premium experience on every visit.
MARKETING & DIGITAL
Responsible for all Marketing elements across brand, digital, CRM and creative; we are always on the pulse and pushing boundaries. Our outlook is design-led, with a strong focus on curating and cultivating the Deadly Ponies brand.
DESIGN
Led by our Creative Director, Liam Bowden, our inhouse design team is the spark that drives Deadly Ponies. From an initial sketch to the finished product, our team are the curators of our unique and innovative collection, producing through a considered lens.
SUPPLY CHAIN
The stitching that holds us together, our Supply Chain team are responsible for all operations and logistics globally, including our Australian and New Zealand stock rooms, and delivering each piece from our hands into yours, leaving as little carbon footprint behind as possible.
SALES & WHOLESALE
Our Sales & Wholesale team know their way around a spreadsheet or two and have an eye for soon-to-be coveted pieces; overseeing demand planning, buying and managing relationships with our stockists globally, and our weekly sales insights.

Current Opportunities
Marketing & Digital Assistant - HQ, Auckland
As a Marketing & Digital Assistant, you will be responsible for creating engaging, digital-first content that connects with audiences worldwide. Working closely with the Brand Lead and Digital Lead, you will support multi-channel marketing initiatives across the business. Your role will include contributing to high-impact campaign assets, content creation, and the seamless execution of daily marketing and digital operations to strengthen Deadly Ponies' brand presence and digital revenue.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
SOCIAL MEDIA
- Assist in managing and executing the social media strategy across TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, and LinkedIn.
- Work closely with the editorial team to plan and ensure timely delivery of assets.
- Schedule and post content across platforms with flawless execution.
- Oversee community engagement, fostering interaction and connection.
- Ensure brand consistency across all communications.
EMAIL MARKETING
- Build and schedule email campaigns, ensuring all content is correctly formatted.
- A/B test subject lines to optimise performance.
- Research tactics to encourage newsletter sign-ups.
- Bring new ideas to the creative team and work with our graphic designer to bring these to life.
- Help manage email flows by updating creative and suggesting copy each quarter.
- Research and update flows to ensure the content and customer journey remains relevant, providing recommendations to the Digital Lead.
E-COMMERCE
- Support the Digital Lead with seasonal launches and online marketing activations.
- Manage product uploads, ensuring accuracy and completion of link testing.
Assist with Deadly Ponies B2B and marketplace digital requirements. - Merchandise site in step with marketing calendar and reporting insights.
- Write engaging copy for product descriptions and blogs, ensuring brand tone and SEO requirements are met.
- Assist Digital Lead in managing site development pipeline.
- Research and suggest opportunities to improve user experience and drive revenue growth.
- Assist with studio e-commerce and campaign shoot preparation and packdown.
- Familiarity with Shopify and Figma is a bonus.
PR
- Regularly update and curate a list of on-brand KOLs aligned with brand values and target audience.
- Research and suggest influencers, assisting with outreach for collaborations.
- Manage product selects, gift-wrapping, and send-outs with dispatch team support.
- Assist Brand Lead with agency and media opportunities.
- Oversee sample send-outs and returns.
- Help plan and coordinate events and in-store activations.
GRAPHIC DESIGN (experience preferred but not required)
- Assist with image editing (basic retouching and resizing of in-house product imagery)
- Sort, upload, and process images via the clearcut service for e-commerce.
YOU WILL BRING TO THIS ROLE
- Fresh, innovative ideas for marketing and digital initiatives.
- Strong organisational skills and an eye for accuracy.
- A genuine interest in retail and fashion marketing.
- A creative mindset with the ability to analyse data and use insights to improve campaigns.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, platforms, and digital tools to keep the brand relevant.
- A passion for creating engaging multi-channel content.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- A team player with excellent communication skills.
- Organised and able to meet deadlines while juggling multiple responsibilities.
- An understanding of tools such as Klaviyo and Later.
- Familiarity with Shopify and Figma is a bonus.
- Graphic design, Photoshop and image editing experience are a bonus.

Retail Store Manager - Ponsonby, Auckland
We are looking for an experienced Retail Store Manager to join our close-knit, fun, and high performing team. Representing the Deadly Ponies brand to our Ponsonby and online customers; you will be tasked with managing the daily operations of the store, providing a premium experience for our customers whilst meeting sales targets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- The role of the Retail Store Manager is to manage the daily operations of the Deadly Ponies retail store and provide premium experiences for our customers.
- Meet sales targets whilst aligning rostering to wage budget.
- Manage your store team to provide outstanding clienteling, in-store brand experiences and seamless online support through Live Chat.
- Ensure stock and all daily/weekly processes are managed efficiently and accurately.
- Own the store aesthetic and visual merchandising.
YOU WILL BRING TO THIS ROLE
- 2-3 years in a premium/luxury retail environment with 2+ years in a retail management position.
- Proven sales, clienteling and customer service skills.
- Proven ability to manage a busy online fulfilment operation.
- Professionalism and personality.

Retail Assistant - Queenstown, Otago
We are looking for Retail Assistants to join our close-knit, fun, and high performing Queenstown team on a casual basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a creative premium brand where sustainability is top of mind.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a casual Retail Assistant, you will support the Store Manager in the successful operation of our busy Deadly Ponies' retail space in Queenstown.
Your focus will be on customer consulting, clienteling, and increasing brand awareness through educating consumers on the Deadly Ponies brand story.
You will also contribute to all daily operations, and maintain the space through visual merchandising with high attention to store presentation and the customer experience.
